The Island of Saint-Barthélemy and Data Moove inaugurates its new mobile application and interactive terminal for an unparalleled tourist experience
The Tourism Committee of Saint-Barthélemy, accompanied by Data Moove, inaugurated on last Friday 02/03/2018 the implementation of a mobile application and an interactive board (located at the airport) unpublished and ultra complete for travelers and the inhabitants of the island. A veritable concentrate of innovations, they allow to centralize and to disseminate all the latest tourist information of the island: events, restaurants, accommodations, activities, points of interest … in short, all the tourist offer of the Island up to date and in real time!
Jean-Claude Guignard (President) and Frédéric Bossard (General Manager) of Data Moove went on site to present with Bruno MAGRAS (president of the territorial council of Saint-Barthélemy), Michel MAGRAS (Senator of Saint-Barthélemy) and Nils DUFAU (president of the tourism committee) as well as many actors of the economy of the island, all the innovations and added values of these 2 new media to the socio-professionals of the island.
Data Moove deployed the City Moove digital platform for the Committee used for its new mobile application and interactive board dedicated to tourism and the promotion of its territory. Thanks to the mobile application (available on iOS and Android), Saint-Barthélemy offers to tourists and inhabitants of the island the opportunity to discover the island in its many facets by allowing them to be informed in real time of all the highlights, events, and discoveries possible, as soon as they arrive at the Gustavia airport where the first interactive board is installed which displays this information.
The island of Saint Barthélemy is the second destination to acquire this unique tool, after the Regional Committee of Tourism “Côte d’Azur France”.
Data Moove has been developing City Moove for more than 4 years as part of a European project supported by EIT Digital, in partnership with EURECOM (engineering school and research center in the field of digital sciences at Sophia Antipolis).
The City Moove platform uses several sources of content such as Facebook, Google Places, Open Agenda, Foursquare, Yelp, to collect the data available on Saint-Barthélemy and to supplement them with the information flows of the tourist office. classify, deduplicate and focus on the application.
